  3. HOW TO PLAY. PGATOUR.com will conduct a Game encouraging participants to predict the top finishing golfers of the weekly Tournaments. Participants will be placed in either public or private leagues. A public league consists of participants who elect to be placed in a league randomly determined by Game Administrator ("Public League"). Each Public League will be comprised of thirty-two (32) participants consisting of eight four-team Foursomes. A private league consists of participants who elect to be placed in a league determined by the participants ("Private League"). If a Private League consists of less than 32 teams, then random public league teams will be selected to fill the league. Each Public League and Private League shall together be referred to hereafter as "League." All league spots are filled on a first-come first-served basis. The Game Administrator reserves the right to cancel and refund, if applicable, any entries not comprising a full 32-team league. For example, if there are 3,203 entries at the registration deadline, then the 3,201st, 3,202nd, and 3,203rd entries received will be cancelled and refunded, if applicable.

Participants will select six (6) golfers to make up a team (the "Team") in that week's Tournament. Once Game Play starts, participants may trade one golfer for another (each a "Trade").

    • Selecting Your Team- Each week throughout the Game, you will be required to choose a team of six golfers. You will have $100,000,000 to spend assembling your roster. Golfers' salaries may change twice during the season. At mid-season salaries will decrease only. Then just before the playoffs, salaries may increase or decrease depending on the golfer's performance in 2009. Once you have selected your roster, your roster will then carry over from week to week if you don't set a lineup. Note: Player lists and salary information are updated by approximately Midnight ET on Fridays, and then locked until the following Monday. Therefore, the list will not change if certain players are added to a tournament playing field, or scratched from it after 7:00 PM ET on the Monday before a tournament.
    • Team Selecting Deadline- A tournament period consists of one tournament each week (see the "Scheduled Tournaments" section below.) Most tournament periods run for four days, usually Thursday through Sunday (some tournaments begin on Wednesday, so check the Scheduled Tournaments each week.) The deadline for picking your team each week is 7:00 AM ET the day of the first round of the tournament that week. If an overseas tournament begins prior to 6:00 AM ET, then the Internet deadline is 1 hour prior to the beginning of the tournament.
    • Point Values- Each team will earn points equal to the FedEx points earned by the golfers on your team for that Tournament. View the PGA TOUR Regular Season FedExCup scoring system here.

Note: Throughout the tournament, you will see projected FedEx points earned displayed on the Fantasy Leaderboard. This does not represent FedEx points won by your golfers, but rather a scenario of what the points earned would be if the tournament ended at the present time.

    • Match Play Competition- Throughout the regular season (20 Tournaments) you will play a match each week against a new opponent. If during a tournament your team earns more points than your opponent, then you win the match for that week. In the event of a tie, the team with the lowest salary cap for that week will win If a tie still exists, the team with the most cumulative points will win. If a tie still exists, the team with a single golfer who earned the most points for that week will win. If a tie still exists, then the winner will be declared and determined by the date and time of roster submission. The tied team with the earlier submission of the winning roster will be declared the winner.
    • Playoffs - After the final regular season period, the top two teams from each foursome (four-team division) in each league with the best win/loss records will automatically qualify for the Playoffs. In addition, three teams from each league that did not automatically qualify for the Playoffs will earn "wildcard" playoff berths. These teams will be the three teams with the greatest cumulative regular season point totals of all non-automatic playoff qualifiers. In the event of a tie for the final wildcard position, all teams will qualify for the Playoffs as a a wildcard. All team win/loss records are erased and all playoff qualifiers start with zero points. All playoff qualifiers will be notified via email and the website with playoff salaries, trade deadlines and playoff rules. The Salary Cap Cup Playoffs will begin with The Barclays on August 27th and end upon the completion of THE TOUR Championship on September 27th. Cumulative points throughout the Salary Cap Cup Playoffs will determine the playoff winners.
